One simple yet powerful way to make a difference is to sign your business onto this letter to NYS Senate Majority Leader Stewart-Cousins and Assembly Speaker Heastie in support of key climate measures. This letter calls on our state legislature to pass and fund the Green Affordable Pre-electrification (GAP) Fund, NY Tropical Deforestation-Free Procurement Act, NY HEAT Act, Just Energy Transition Act, Climate Change Superfund Act, and NYS Residential Solar + Storage Tax Credit. These measure are needed to achieve New York’s existing Climate Act mandates.

In 2023, NYSBC partnered with Seventh Generation and SunCommon to formally charter NY Businesses for Climate Justice (NYBfCJ), which has grown to over 30 business leaders, all engaging in a variety of ways on key climate advocacy. NYBfCJ will continue to grow and advance climate priorities like those in the sign-on letter above and other timely responses to our ever-evolving business landscape.
